The former influencer known as 'Fofo' Márquez spoke during his trial for attempted femicide, where he is accused of hitting a woman in Naucalpan after a traffic altercation. 'Fofo' claimed he is not capable of killing, not even a dog, requesting to be charged with injuries instead of femicide. He argued that the victim insulted him before the altercation.
In a previous attempt to apologize, the woman did not accept his apologies, considering them insincere. 'Fofo's' defense dismissed the femicide accusation as exaggerated and seeks to discredit the evidence presented by the Mexican prosecutor's office. Defense lawyers have requested more time to provide evidence in favor of their client and refute the expert opinions presented by the prosecution.
The court session will continue on Friday, January 24, where both parties are expected to present their conclusions. After the presentation of evidence, the judge will evaluate the elements and issue a verdict of guilt or innocence. It was recently revealed that 'Fofo' married Melanie Lattanzi in prison, who may testify in his favor as she was present during the incident.
"Everyone who justifies Fofo Márquez, I wish that if he is released, he does the same to their mothers so they can start thinking with their heads," expressed a user on social media about the case.
